When I first got into Etude House they had just released the SHINISTAR collection. And as the huge SHINee fan I am, I desperately tried to collect all of the producs because they we’re so exremely popular that they were sold out on so many websites ._. But I did manage to find everything that I was looking for which I’m so happy about, and that includes this BB Lotion.
So this is basically the first BB cream I ever got and I love it so much, so today I’m going to do a little more of an in depth review ^^
The SHINISTAR product line comes in a cute baby blue packaging. This product contains 30g so it’s not extremely much.
It also has SPF20 PA++. Always appreciated when there is SPF in a product, because I’m to lazy to put sun protection before and I believe my face would look like a shiny mess with it underneath so no need for that ^^
It comes with a pump which is really convenient. It’s cleaner and you have more control of how much product you dispense.
Description: BB lotion moisturizing foundation promotes a moist, brightened and natural complexion look.
It has no parabens, ethanol, mineral oil or benzophenone which was the most appealing thing to me!
This BB lotion contains; water, zinc, milk protein extract, silica, rice extract, sesame seed extract, soybean seed extract, blackberry fruit extract, oat kernel extract, hydrolized wheat extract and many other things.
It smells a lot like the NIVEA face products to me, so really clean and not strong at all.
This only comes in one shade which can be a problem for darker skintones. It blends beautifully with my skin with a slight lightening effect. I’d say it’s a light beige. But it does oxidise on my skin a little so it turns a tiny bit darker, but it’s not a problem.
If you are looking for good coverage, this is not for you. Since it is more of a lotion, it gives “your-skin-but-more-even” look which I really like! It’s lightweight both in consistency and on my skin. But if you have acne scars, redness, dark circles etc. you can either duouble up the product on that specific area or just use concealer.
It dries to a almost matte finish and seems to control my oily t-zone quite well actually. But if you’re slightly oily like me, don’t forget to set it with a light dusting of powder!
I don’t know how this will work on dry skin but I don’t think it will be a problem. But moisturize well before applying, because I once had some slight dry areas and it kind of clinged onto that but you could hardly see it.
I highly reccomend this BB lotion so get your hands on it before they sell out everywhere, because from what I’ve heard Etude don’t manifacutre the SHINISTAR line anymore *sadface*. So I definitely have to get a backup of this baby!
I hope this was helpful! xx
